PR-1782 is Class C, low density, aircraft fuel tank and general sealant. It has a service temperature range of -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F). This material is designed for surface sealing applications. It saves up to twenty percent weight per unit volume compared to conventional sealants used for these purposes. The cured sealant retains excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to both jet fuel and aircraft gas and resists limited contact with diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids.
PR-1782 Class C is a two component, manganese dioxide cured polysulfide sealant. Uncured material is a viscous liquid suitable for application with a roller or spatula. It cures at room temperature to form a flexible sealant with excellent adhesion to common aircraft surfaces.
