All products under the MIL-PRF-680 specification are used as degreasers and cleaners for painted and unpainted metal surfaces in equipment maintenance and as degreasing of machine parts.
TYPE II (high flash point solvent with low odor) is designed for use where a solvent with a higher flash point is desired. Recommended instead of Type I for safety and regulatory reasons.
Advantages
MIL-PRF-680 Type II replaces PD-680 Type I and has the following advantages:
Contains less than 1% aromatics compared to PD680 Type I, which contains about 20%, safe for staff.
It is almost odorless.
Compared to PD-680 Type II it is much safer than metals.
More efficient.
Since it does not contain aromatics, it is much safer for the environment.
Registered in the Qualified Product List (QPL) in accordance with MIL-PRF-680 TYPE II specification.
