PPG Aerospace® DeSoto Aluminized Epoxy Primer 519X303/020X324 is a high-heat, corrosion-resistant primer suitable for aluminum or composite surfaces. It can be applied with non-electrostatic spray equipment and cures at room temperature. The primer's application temperature ranges from 65°F to 95°F (18.3°C to 35°C) with humidity between 40% and 75%. Initial mix viscosity is 10 to 17 seconds (#4 Ford cup), with a pot life of 10 hours. VOC content is 698 grams/l. Recommended dry film thickness is 1.0 to 2.0 mils (25-50 microns), with drying times of 30 to 60 minutes between coats, 4 hours to stack, 6 to 24 hours to overcoat, and 14 days to full cure. The color is aluminized blue-green with a 60-degree gloss of 20 units.
