TECTYL 502C, Class I, is a solvent cutback, corrosion preventive compound. Semi-rigid film is amber and translucent. TECTYL 502C is certified under Military Specifications MIL-PRF16173E, Class 2 and MIL-P-116J, Type P-2 for Class I, Class I. It is designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous parts during closed or closed storage and transportation. The hardened film of TECTYL 502C Class I is compatible with a variety of oils and greases.

TECTYL 502C is formulated for Class I use as supplied. Ensure uniform consistency before use. Continuous mixing is generally not required. If the product thickens due to solvent loss during cold storage or use, contact Daubert Chemical Company. DO NOT THIN TECTYL 502C, Class I. Incorrect thinning will affect the film structure, drying time and product performance. Daubert Chemical Company recommends that the ambient and product temperature at the time of application be 50-95°F (10-35°C). TECTYL 502C can be applied by Class I spray or dipping.
TECTYL 502C, Class I, TECTYL HPS can be removed with solvent-based thinner, steam degreasing, hot alkaline wash or low pressure steam. TECTYL 502C, Class I, can be removed from fabrics by normal dry cleaning procedures. Avoid using chlorinated or highly aromatic solvents when removing from painted surfaces, as these solvents can adversely affect the paint.
