Minimizing buzz, squeak, and rattle (BSR) in automotive design can be achieved by applying a thin film of lubricant to interior components. PFPE-based lubricants are preferred due to their plastic compatibility.
Uniflor™ 8512 are medium viscosity PFPE greases, thickened with PTFE, suitable for applications such as key cylinders, pull-out bins, cupholders, hinges, and slides. Their advantages include eliminating BSR, compatibility with plastics, wide-temperature performance, excellent thermo-oxidative stability, and low vapor pressure characteristics.
