LOCTITE® 640™ is designed for bonding cylindrical assembly parts. The product cures when encapsulated in the absence of loosening and leakage from shock and vibration, preventing metal surfaces from fitting tightly together. Typical applications include retaining keys and grooves, eliminating backlash in worn assemblies, holding bearings in place - preventing rotation, fractional retention of rotor to shafts and sub-fractional horsepower motors, retaining bushings and sleeves in housings and shafts, increasing press fits, restoring fit to worn assemblies or parts with no tolerance.
