AeroShell Fluid 2XN is primarily used as a component of AeroShell Fluid 2F, but once used in AeroShell Fluid 2F, it can also be used undiluted to provide additional protection by spraying exhaust ports, rocker arms, accessories for piston engines.
For aircraft gas turbine engines, a mixture of one part AeroShell Fluid 2XN and three parts AeroShell Turbine Oil 2 is required. Detailed instructions for blocking the turbines are given in the specification MIL-E-5607F.
Aeroshell Fluid 2XN is a corrosion inhibitor concentrate to protect rarely used engines. It uses an ashless anti-corrosion additive package and highly refined mineral-based oils to protect interior engine surfaces from the effects of moisture. It is designed to neutralize acidic by-products resulting from oil oxidation and burning.
